A Mindfulness-Based Group Psychoeducational Intervention Targeting Sexual Arousal Disorder in Women
Listen instead of reading · 35 minDirty Mind: Dirty Talk Hypnosis – Find Your Own WordsNo script, no borrowed lines: a trance that lets your own words out – in a lower, slower voice. Brotto, L. A., Basson, R., & Luria, M. · The Journal of Sexual Medicine, 5(7), 1646–1659
Main finding
After the programme, participants reported improvements in sexual arousal, desire and satisfaction.
What was done
A small group of women with arousal difficulties took part in a short group programme combining information about sexuality with mindfulness exercises – attending to body sensations without judging them.
What the study does not show
A small study without a control group, with women who had a diagnosed arousal disorder. It tested mindfulness, not hypnosis, and says nothing about a single audio trance.
