Posthypnotic suggestion
Listen instead of reading · 35 minDirty Mind: Dirty Talk Hypnosis – Find Your Own WordsNo script, no borrowed lines: a trance that lets your own words out – in a lower, slower voice. In short
A post-hypnotic suggestion is a sentence from hypnosis that is meant to keep working afterwards – triggered by a small cue, such as a word or a gesture.
What does it mean for you?
Every Sexnosis trance can include an anchor sentence: a short sentence you take with you from the trance – for example a feeling of confidence or surrender. It is always announced openly, never hidden. How clearly it works later differs from person to person.
What research says
Posthypnotic suggestions let researchers test effects outside the hypnosis session, which makes them useful for experiments. In the Stroop studies by Raz and colleagues, a posthypnotic suggestion reduced an otherwise automatic reading effect in highly hypnotizable people.
Responses to posthypnotic suggestions usually fade unless they are renewed.

- Suggestion A suggestion is a sentence that invites you to experience something as if it were happening on its own – for example "your arm is getting lighter" – rather than doing it on purpose.
- Hypnosis Hypnosis is a state in which you turn your attention fully inward and engage with your imagination – so much that it feels real, like an arm growing heavy.
